The Scoop:
MARINO LIVE CREATIVE & McCORMACK MEDIA MANAGEMENT present two incredible women of country music on one stage including “Artist of theYear” ANNIE BROBST and the Boston area premiere of RAELYN NELSON – granddaughter of Country Legend WILLIE NELSON.
Two emerging female stars in the world of Country Music will double headline “The Wine Weed & Whiskey Tour” in Massachusetts this Spring. The tour will run 4 straight nights beginning April 20ththru 23rd and includes stops in Medford, Peabody, Worcester and downtown Boston.
ANNIE BROBST…recently nominated Boston Music Awards “Country Artist of The Year” will perform an acoustic set with guitarist Ryan Dupont. Currently New England Music Awards “Female Performer of The Year” - Annie has performed to packed crowds across New England. Her debut EP “Ghost” and her full albums "My First Rodeo" and"Where We Holler" are currently available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, and more. Annie has opened for Little Big Town, Edwin McCain and Miranda Lambert among many others.
Nashville’s RAELYN NELSON - granddaughter of music icon Willie Nelson – will make her first ever live appearances in Massachusetts and perform with longtime guitarist, collaborator, and producer Johnathan "JB" Bright of the Raelyn Nelson Band. Raelyn’s original songs are part Loretta Lynn, part Cheap Trick with the occasional rebel energy of Joan Jett. Although her performances on “The Wine Weed & Whiskey Tour” will be acoustic, Raelyn will bring her comic wit and stories to the stage –just as she has performing at Farm Aid and opening for artists like Tim McGraw and others.
“We’re beyond excited to produce this tour with these two amazing women of country” says producer/promoter Gary Marino of Burlington based MARINO LIVE CREATIVE. “What Annie has done in country music in this area is just incredible…she’s such a talented all-around artist and performer. And 30 seconds into Raelyn Nelson’s first song audiences will forget she’s Willie’s granddaughter…she’s a talented, authentic, and funny artist on her own. Boston will see this Nashville star up-close along with Annie - our own local country star”
Besides performing solo acoustic sets-Annie & Raelyn will join together at the end of the night to perform some originals and possibly even a Willie Nelson classic or two.
Says Annie, “We can’t wait to perform these intimate, acoustic shows where fans can hear the songs how they were born”. That’s how the songs were created and were excited to have audience hear it”
According to Marino “audiences will enjoy two sassy, funny, beautiful women of country with great voices and original songs. The combination of Annie’s humor and original songs together with Raelyn’s is what makes this tour special. Annie is synonymous with fine wine and Raelyn’s most popular song is ‘Weed & Whiskey” so we’re excited to combine all this into the “Wine, Weed & Whiskey Tour!”
